Do you think studying texts from different cultures is worthy? why or why not?

Yes I do think that studying texts from different culture is worthy. It is a worthy thing to learn how people outside of North America lived and if they have lived in poverty or lived like regular folk. If you wanted to visit another country for example, Afghanistan it would be good to know their culture so, you won't be looking around at everybody and wondering why they are doing the things they do. If you want to be in international business when you get older it would be a good thing to learn the country's culture when you are going to work with them. It would be good to know how to greet someone that is from a different culture and to learn how to talk like them. It will also make you bilingual by learning another country's culture and language. It will help you to have a broader understanding of the world around you and find out if they do the same things as us or do completely different things and have their own traditions. That is why studying texts from different cultures is worthy.
