Do you think studying texts from different cultures is worthy?
Studying texts from different cultures is worthy because it is important for students to know and understand the different cultures of the world. For example, in the Kite Runner, it is important to understand the Afghanistan customs and cultures, to understand the plot, and the characters views in the novel. One is also able to see the main character Amir, with a Afghanistan background, trying to fit into a American society, and how different these two cultures are. The more knowledge someone has on a certain culture, the more they are able to understand and relate to the characters in the text, and allow them to make important connections. Overall, I think studying texts from different cultures is worthy.
